The Kangra Fort was constructed by Raja Bhumi Chand, founder of Katoch Dynasty.A Jain temple is located in the vicinity of Kangra fort in Himachal Pradesh,dedicated to Adinath. A large number of Jain pilgrim visit this place, which is also considered as a Tirtha (sacred place) to get blessings from their Adi Guru.Kngra Fort has shown its great sense of religious harmony, due to the presence of Hindu as well as Jain temple.

@ moina di.. i guess ur confusing or mistaken with something.. this fort was built by Raja Bhumi Chand and he was a hindu... and it was the katoch regime that existed there.. where did Buddha come from ??:O.. BTW the statue is of Adinath.. he is worshiped by Jains
I lived in Himchal for 4 yrs, but never visited kangra fort, nice bit of fact though

I dont have any idea if this was the fact.. i knew adinath followed jainism where as buddha--buddhism...i ll search for the history and let u know soon
